Thanksgiving 2008
Happy Thanksgiving!
We had an excellent Thanksgiving, I hope you did too!
This year we wanted to have a quiet holiday at home. I have been into cooking lately so I was excited to tackle a Thanksgiving menu.
We created our menu a week in advance and had our shopping done early.
Asher and Aidan making a pumpkin pie.
They are really getting into this!

Autumn and Aidan working on the apple pie.

Check out the lattice work on that pie!
Austin sleeping at 10am! We've been cooking for 2 hours already. Get Up!
They were delish!
Bart rolling homemade crescent rolls. What a man!
Autumn setting a beautiful table.

22lb. turkey. that should be enough meat!

Homemade Crescent Rolls
Praline Sweet Potatoes
Homemade Cranberry Sauce
Pomegranate Salad

Homemade apple, pumpkin, coconut cream, chocolate cream, banana cream pies

This year has really refocused me. I have never been so thankful for so many things.God has blessed me in so many ways. I am definitely learning to live a life of gratitude.
So thank you God, for my husband, for my children, for my family, for my church family, for my home, for our health, and so much more!
We're Goin' on a Bunny Hunt
So my BFF Karla who now lives in Georgia says she's going bunny hunting on Thanksgiving at Long Beach City College with her 3 boys. I have lived in the Long Beach area my whole life and had no idea of the bunny population at LBCC. She says in the years they have been going her kids have never caught one. I thought this sounded like a fun idea. I told my kids about it, and I didn't get the response I was looking for. So I told the kids if they caught one they could keep it.
I was safe...right?!
The chase was on...
This bunny literally hops out of the bush into her lap.
We are now the proud owners of an adorable brown and white bunny, named Mopsy.
THE END
Water Polo Rocks
Austin is a freshman at Cypress High School, where Bart and I graduated. It is so bizarre! He is walking the halls that we made out in not too long ago. :) Anyway, he is playing water polo, and really enjoying it. It is crazy intense! I have no idea what the rules are, all I know is they are swimming the whole time, and drowning each other. Here are some pictures, hopefully we'll be getting a new camera with a better zoom feature.
